Alcocéber is a peaceful resort, with fine sandy beaches, coves in the Sierra de Irta and a village feel. Almost all the accommodation is concentrated in three areas: Cargador beach (the centre, with the seafront promenade), Las Fuentes (next to the marina) and Playa Romana, further south.
Aparthotel: the best of both worlds
An aparthotel combines the services of a hotel (reception, cleaning, pools, spa) with the freedom of an apartment with its own kitchen. It is the option that now stands where the old Hotel Jeremías used to be: Alcossebre Sea Experience, four stars, right on Cargador beach, with one- and two-bedroom apartments, a skybar and a spa. It suits couples looking for comfort and families who want space.

A hotel by the beach
If you prefer a classic hotel, with a restaurant and entertainment, the Hotel Alcossebre is right by the beach in a very quiet setting, and is especially convenient for families and for anyone who doesn't want to cook on holiday. It occupies the building of the old Residencia Alcocebre, another of the village's places to stay with a history.

Holiday apartments
For stays of a week or more, or for groups and large families, an apartment is usually the most practical choice. Alcocéber has complexes with a pool and garden, beachfront apartments and options in the centre. Casa Azahar, the local agency that used to handle bookings for the Jeremías, rents out apartments in more than twenty buildings in the village.
